We live on the Island of Hawaii, an island half again larger than Connecticutt and Rhode Island combined.  We live on the top of an active shield volcano.
We live on the southern coast of the Big Island in the District of Ka'u in Ocean View, the largest subdivision in the United States of America & Polynesia (USAP). OV consists of 11,000 one-acre plots.

Band & Bakery, Inc. is our corporate identity.  Jill is the Bakery, & Roger is the Band. Jill designs all the food products and Roger designs all the labels.  We can go from product idea to ready-to-sell & distribute within a day.  One time, we came up with four new products in a day and sent samples to a food store chain the next day.  They seemed to like three out of four of them.
Jill started Jill's Country Kitchen in 1984 and her first product was her Breakfast Cookie.  For 20 years she baked fine-dining desserts for Kona Village Resort, Kilauea Lodge, and more than a dozen Big Island restaurants. Recently, the cake business was retired because we wanted to move onto other things. It was ironic because High Noon Productions just filmed a sequence here in Ocean View of Jill decorating her Tropical-themed cakes for an episode of "Sweet Rush" to be aired on the Food Channel.  We will continue on with Hula Girl Hot Sauces, South Point Salsas, Sauces & Dressings, Hula Girl Shortbread Cookies, Zato's Coconut-Chocolate Sushi Candy, and Hula Hotties Cookies & Candy Bars.
